City of Chicago Hosting Free Business Workshops Throughout May

The City of Chicago’s food truck season is underway and to help burgeoning food truck owners and aspiring entrepreneurs in the industry, the Department of Business Affairs & Consumer Protection (BACP) is presenting its first workshop on “How to Obtain a Shared Kitchen Operator or User License” on May 13 at 3 p.m. The City of Chicago also is set to present “City Inspections – Ask Questions, Get Answers” with officials from four City departments, and SomerCor 504, Inc. (City of Chicago SBIF Administrator) will present “Small Business Improvement Fund (SBIF) Grants in Chicago.”

The Small Business Center at the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection hosts free business workshops every Wednesday and Friday in Room 805 at City Hall, 121 N. LaSalle St., Chicago. Workshops are conducted by city officials, BACP’s partner organizations, and experts in the industry.
