LVCC Holds Annual Scholarship Ceremony

The Little Village Chamber of Commerce (LVCC) held its 14th Annual Ambassador Scholarship breakfast this Thursday, May 14th at the National Museum of Mexican Art (NMMA). The chamber recognized ten local area college bound students and awarded $15,000 dollars in scholarships for 2015.

This year the scholarships were handed out by special guest Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti. “We are proud to provide scholarship opportunities to Latino students in the Little Village community,” stated Jaime Di Paulo executive director for the Little Village Chamber of Commerce. “We wish them all the best in their studies, our hope is that these students will come back after college to share their knowledge and improve our neighborhoods,” stated Di Paulo. During the program’s 14 year history, the Little Village Chamber of Commerce has awarded more than 200 scholarships in excess of $400,000 to Hispanic students in Little Village and surrounding communities.
