“I am honored to receive such a prestigious award and grateful to the many people whose cooperation and dedication made it possible.”-Mayor Jeff Tobolski

McCook Mayor Jeffrey Tobolski received the Jack Williams Intergovernmental Achievement Award from the West Central Municipal Conference at its May 8, 2015 Annual Dinner. The Jack Williams award is presented each year to an elected official or appointed representative who has advanced intergovernmental cooperation.

Tobolski’s work as both Mayor of McCook and as Cook County Commissioner for the 16th District has focused on bringing the many municipalities in the western suburbs together to advocate for more effective and efficient government. Emphasizing cooperation in reducing wasteful spending and attracting investment in the western suburbs has set a new standard for intergovernmental cooperation. “I am honored to receive such a prestigious award and grateful to the many people whose cooperation and dedication made it possible,” said Tobolski.

The WCMC also awarded Cicero Town President Larry Dominick the Donald E. Stephens Award of Excellence and Stone Park Village President Beniamino Mazzulla and Jim Fraghia received the Greentelligence Award.
