Nielsen, a leading global provider of information and insights, sponsored the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE) 2015 cohort graduation of Mujeres de HACE program in Chicago on Tuesday, August 4. Trina Fresco, Vice President, U.S. Community Alliances, Events and Engagement at Nielsen, served as the keynote speaker of the program, which empowers high-potential Latina professionals to succeed professionally and thrive personally by providing insight, access, and professional development.

Fresco spoke about how Latinas have emerged as major contributors to the educational, economic and cultural well-being of their communities, American society and the consumer marketplace as a whole. She expanded on key insights from the Nielsen published report titled “The Latina Power Shift.” “Latinas are earning more college degrees than their male counterparts; advancing in business and in corporate America at a faster pace and using financial services more than Latino males, stated Fresco. “Latinas are buying big ticket items like houses and cars, and contributing greatly to the lion’s share of our community’s $1.5 trillion in buying power, which is on pace to reach $1.6 trillion by 2018,” added Fresco.
