On Saturday, Aug. 1st, Noah’s Arc Foundation (NAF) launched its latest public service announcement (PSA), entitled “Rock Your Drop,” at the Major Adams Community Committee Center (MACC). “’Rock Your Drop’ is based on the Drop of Consciousness movement we launched last March,” said Cecilia Rodhe, co-founder and president of NAF. “It’s symbol, a teardrop, represents the scars and strength of those affected by violence, and wearing it demonstrates that you are committed to creating peace, unity and positive change.”

The PSA campaign asks athletes, celebrities, musicians, activists and kids why they choose to rock their Drops. Answers such as: the youth, Chicago, positivity, consciousness and an end to gun violence were voiced. Through this campaign, Noah’s Arc Foundation wants the public to think about the positive things in their own lives that would compel them to join this movement for peace. “Wearing the Drop means something, it’s a commitment to peace and a promise to spread the message,” said Joakim Noah, Chicago Bulls center and co-founder and chairman of NAF. “When you wear it, you show the world that violence is our problem – it’s not just a south side or a west side issue, it belongs to us all.” To view the PSA and learn more about the Drop of Consciousness movement, please visit www.rockyourdrop.com.
