In a unique partnership to promote education, The Little Village Chamber of Commerce (LVCC) received a $25,000 grant from the Together We Can Program that will be given as scholarships to students who are enrolled this fall or who will enroll at St. Augustine College for the upcoming spring semester. St. Augustine will match this amount to create a $50,000 fund to benefit the selected students. Following the mission of Together We Can, the scholarships will be provided to students of Mexican descent, who are in financial need and reside in the Little Village community and surrounding areas in Chicago.

Students with a high school diploma (in the U.S. or their country of origin), those who earned a GED, and adults who want to continue their college education are eligible to apply for this Little Village Chamber of Commerce scholarship. A review committee will select the winners of scholarships offered in various amounts ($5,000, $2,500, $2,000 and $1,000.) Assistance in applying for these scholarships will be provided on October 17th, 10am to 2pm, at St. Augustine’s Little Village location, 2610 W. 25th Place, in Chicago. For information and to apply for these scholarships, call: 773-521-5387 or 773-878-8756 or visit: littlevillagechamber.org or staugustine.edu.
