Progressive Reform Caucus to Hold City Budget Town Halls

The Chicago City Council’s Progressive Reform Caucus will host two community town hall meetings to hear feedback and concerns from Chicago residents regarding the Emanuel Administration’s proposed FY 2016 municipal budget, including an estimated $500 million property tax increase. The Progressive Reform Caucus includes: Ald. Leslie Hairston; Ald. Roderick Sawyer; Ald. Susan Sadlowski Garza; Ald. Toni Foulkes; Ald. David Moore; Ald. Ricardo Muñoz; Ald. Chris Taliaferro; Ald. Scott Waguespack; Ald. Carlos Ramirez-Rosa; Ald. Nick Sposato; and Ald. John Arena. The town halls are free and open to the public. The first town hall meeting will be held October 1st at Amundsen High School, 5110 N. Damen Ave at 6:30p.m. The second town hall meeting will take place on October 6th at Southside Occupational Academy High School, 7342 S. Hoyne Ave., at 6:30p.m.
