Annual Teddy Bear Toy Drive for Children is Ready to Roar Harley Style

The Lake Shore Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.), Chapter #3522, will hold its annual “Teddy Bear” drive, bringing Christmas gifts to children in the care of the state of Illinois, on Sunday, November 8, 2015. “We collect teddy bears and match box cars throughout the year to donate to the Department of Children and Family Services for the children in their care,” said Joey Smith of the Lake Shore H.O.G.’s. “We have done this for more than 12 years and the smiles on the children’s faces are sure to inspire us for decades to come.”

The event takes place at Lake Shore Harley-Davidson, 14000 Rockland Road in Libertyville and begins at 9:00 a.m. with the loading of the stuffed animals onto a truck. The H.O.G. ride begins at approximately 10:30 a.m. when the motorcycle riders will proceed to Illinois Department of Children and Family Services offices located in Waukegan, 500 N. Green Bay Road. “I thank the Lake Shore H.O.G. members, Lake Shore Harley-Davidson, and the community for all their efforts in helping to make Christmas a special day for our children in care,” said George H. Sheldon, Acting Director for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
