The Triton College Library presents a couple of opportunities this November to inspire reading among young and old. Spend a moment to read a fun book with your children during Family Reading Day on Thursday, Nov. 19 in the Triton College Library. At 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, families are invited to join other parents and children as they share a book, read a story, dress as their favorite storybook character and so forth – all in celebration of National Family Reading Day, also known as National Family Literacy Day. From Nov. 30 through Dec. 7, the library will hold its annual book sale to raise funds to support the Triton College Library Foundation and the Library Scholarship Fund. Gently used books will be sold at a reasonable price. Plus on Dec. 8, the library will offer Bag Day, where customers can fill a library-supplied bag with books for $1. The book sale will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. The library is closed on Sundays. For more information, call (708) 456-0300, Ext. 3698 or 3591, or visit www.triton.edu/new-at-the-library. Triton College is located at 2000 Fifth Ave. in River Grove, Ill.
