Norwegian American Hospital Appoints Carey as CNO

Norwegian American Hospital has appointed H. Bruce Carey, Jr. as Chief Nursing Officer. As CNO, Carey will oversee the overall operation of nursing services within Norwegian American Hospital. Carey is also responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all patients at Norwegian American Hospital. “I am pleased to welcome Bruce Carey to Norwegian American Hospital,” said Dr. Abha Agrawal, COO/CMO at Norwegian American Hospital. “Bruce is a highly seasoned healthcare executive who brings tremendous experience to our organization. His background and skills will serve him well in this position. I look forward to working with Bruce and his many contributions to this dynamic organization.” An experienced healthcare executive, Carey has more than 20 years of clinical experience as well as 10 years of experience in progressive leadership roles. Prior to joining Norwegian American Hospital, Carey served as chief executive officer of Kindred Chicago Central Hospital. During his time there, he oversaw all administrative, financial and quality operations of the organization. His past tenure also includes positions at Jackson Park Hospital and Adventist LaGrange Memorial Hospital.
