Treasurer Summers to Host Holiday Pop-Up Art Gallery

Chicago City Treasurer Kurt Summers announced that he is hosting the first annual Holiday Pop-Up Art Gallery event at the Treasurer’s Office in City Hall, Room 106. The gallery is open to the public from 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday, through Wednesday, December 23, 2015. Chicago’s City Hall sees hundreds of visitors and residents daily, making the location an easy stop for those looking for inspiration or to find a one-of-a-kind holiday gift. The artwork on display is represented by local artists from around Chicago’s 77 neighborhoods. Treasurer Summers’ focus is on bringing the community together to support these aspiring Chicago artists’ hard work and exceptional talent. There are currently more than 15 artists’ that will be exhibiting their work, which range in size and include photography, oil canvas, and painted wood panels. This event at 121 N. LaSalle St., Room 106, is open to the public to stop by, view and purchase items on display. All proceeds go directly back to the featured artists.
