In January, Chicago Public Library will host a number of exciting and energetic musical performances including a piano recital featuring an accomplished teenage musician; two talented youthful musicians celebrating the anniversary of Mozart’s birth with a stirring performance of his compositions arranged for piano and clarinet; and two special dance pieces performed by the only professional Christian ballet company in the Midwest. In addition, the Library features new art exhibits displaying the work of Chicago artists. Supporting the art exhibitions are thoughtful discussions led by the artists. These programs are presented as part of the Library’s commitment to Nurture Learning and Strengthen Communities through its monthly Visual & Performing Arts series. All events take place at the Harold Washington Library Center, 400 S. State St. For more information, visit chipublib.org, or call (312) 747-4300.
