Viva Cinco De Mayo Festival is underway and Jose Aldaco, marketing director for Mega Events, chief coordinators of the festival, is excited to unveil all the acts and treats this year. “The best part of putting together any type of festival is seeing the crowd’s reaction,” said Aldaco. “We love that families can have fun and create memories, it’s the best part of my job.” This year, Viva Cinco De Mayo Festival, which will be held at Toyota Park May 5th through 8th, will feature two live stages with prominent acts, like Los Horoscopos, delicious foods, carnival rides, and much more. “With any event that we put on there can be challenges to making sure everything comes together. We have a great team, here at Mega Events, so we know people will let their hair down and enjoy,” said Aldaco, who grew up attending many festivals and has made it a tradition with his own kids. “Festivals are a time when communities come together to celebrate. That’s really what festivals are all about. It’s a celebration of culture, of food, of family, that is why we take pride in what we do because we want families to create memories that will last a long time.” Aside from Cinco De Mayo, Mega Events puts on an array of events including Porky’s Rib Fest. “Our team really enjoys putting on each festival. We really listen to the input of the crowd and from there we create a day of fun,” said Aldaco. As for the Viva Cinco De Mayo Festival, Aldaco ensures the four days will be packed with entertainment.
