Mariachi Heritage Foundation Students Perform at White Sox Game

Students in Chicago’s Mariachi Heritage Foundation (MHF) music education program performed the national anthem when the Chicago White Sox face the Texas Rangers on Saturday, April 23 at 1:10 pm at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago to help celebrate Día de la Familia at the ballpark. “Together with Chicago schools, Mariachi Heritage Foundation creates opportunities for individuals and communities to celebrate, share and sustain the vitality of Mexico’s performing arts traditions. We’re proud to be an official Community Partner of the Chicago White Sox, keeping culture alive in the Latino community by promoting the importance of cultural heritage for strengthening ethnic identity,” said MHF President Cesar Maldonado. Future performances include, Chicago’s National Museum of Mexican Art, Mariachi Ensembles Fundraiser on May 13th; the second annual Chicago Mariachi Festival at Millennium Park on June 26th, and Walt Disney World, Orlando FL on June 29th through July 4th.
