Help support low-income, highly motivated community college students on their paths to success. Volunteer just a few hours a month and make a profound difference in the lives of One Million Degrees (OMD) scholars. OMD Coaches meet with scholars in-person once a month on Saturday mornings during the academic year at one of eight community colleges in the Chicagoland region. Join our team of coaches who are making a meaningful difference in the lives of community college students in Chicago.

OMD Coaches meet with scholars in-person once a month during the academic year and bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and support to their scholars:

• Broaden horizons of career aspirations and possibilities
• Provide professional insights, such as real-life examples of professional challenges and growth
• Model professional norms and behaviors
• Encourage community college scholars through challenges and setbacks
• Be a person who cares, celebrate their successes, and won’t let them fall short of their potential
