The largest growing segment of the US population is Latinas/Latinos and their votes can make the critical difference in election outcomes across the board. As the United States approaches what may be the most important election in its history, grassroots organization MomsRising, its Spanish language counterpart, MamásConPoder and #WeAllGrow Latina Network are launching #LatinasVotan, a non-partisan bilingual election campaign designed to encourage Latinas and their eligible family members to head to the polls in November. The campaign coincides with Hispanic Heritage Month and runs through October 15th. Throughout it, MamásConPoder and #WeAllGrow Latina Network, a community of Latina digital influencers, will use the range of social media (including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Periscope and SnapChat, to encourage Latina voter registration and turnout. #LatinasVotan will focus on the issues in the 2016 election that affect Latina moms and their families. Among the ways people can participate in the campaign are: pledging to vote; creating a video about why they are voting and why others should; inviting people to register to vote through texting, Twitter and other platforms; and participating in National Voter Registration Day.
