The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum’s newest arrivals – 131 endangered baby Blanding’s turtles — are now on exhibit for everyone to see. The Nature Museum is excited to introduce its 2016 class of Blanding’s turtle hatchlings. These adorable new arrivals measure between ½ to 1 inch and tip the scales (soaking wet) at less than an ounce. They will live at the Nature Museum for 1-2 years, allowing them to grow in a predator free environment before being released into the wild. The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum is located at 2430 N. Cannon Dr., Chicago, IL 60614. For more information, visit naturemuseum.org.
