CPS kicked off its 67th annual Citywide Science Fair with an opening ceremony to showcase projects from nearly 300 CPS student participants on Friday, March 17th at the Museum of Science and Industry. The students, who ranged from 3rd to 12th grade, have used their STEM savviness to develop innovative projects on topics ranging from astronomy to zoology and more. The opening ceremony commenced with remarks from the District’s science fair partners including: ComEd, Peoples Gas, BP, Takeda, and Motorola. Following the remarks, students returned to their exhibits and discussed their projects in more depth with attendees. Approximately 400 judges evaluated and scored each project. The top 50 projects will advance to the Illinois State Science Fair on May 4-5.
