Morton College announced that it received Reaffirmation of Accreditation by the Institutional Actions Council (IAC) of the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The AIC continues Morton College’s regional accreditation with the next Reaffirmation of Accreditation in the 2026-2027 academic year. Accreditation is a quality assurance process in higher education. For the last three years, the Morton College accreditation leadership team, composed of administration, faculty and staff from across the campus, spearheaded this task. The HLC will revisit Morton College in the fall of 2017 to see firsthand the progresses the school has planned in the areas of policy development, professional development, participatory governance, and financial accountability as well as the rollout of a new internal communications plan.
