Sterling Morton High School District 201 embark on an exciting partnership Dual Enrollment Program that allows eligible students the opportunity to enroll in college credit courses without amassing burdensome debt. At a time when higher education is necessary for success in the 21st-century economy than ever before, the Dual Enrollment Program will give students greater access to earn college credit, putting them on an accelerated path to success,” Morton College President Dr. Stan Fields. “The students will have access to the classes that are important to their success in college, career, and life.” Through the Dual Enrollment Program, qualified Sterling Morton High School District 201 high school students can take free college-level courses at their high school, taught by Morton College adjunct professors, and earn college credit that can be applied to a degree program at Morton College or transferred to a four-year college or university upon graduation. “It is with great pleasure that we have collaborated with Morton College to enhance learning opportunities for the students of District 201,” said Dr. Michael Kuzniewski, J. Sterling Morton High School District 201 Superintendent. “This is just the first step in creating seamless transitions Pre-K thru 14th grade for the students in our learning communities.” The courses offered will be Introduction to Business and Introduction to Operating Systems and begin on Monday, March 27, 2017, at J. Sterling Morton East High School.
