STEM Training for Trades is the result of a powerhouse collaboration between NLEI and The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. This eight week job training program is free of charge and equips students with the skills and technical know-how in areas such as mechanical and electrical concepts, trade skills, and manufacturing trade. Additionally, students are taught how to increase their employment marketability through the attainment of career development skills, including help in obtaining a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
