Saturday, April 22, is the 16th Annual Comcast Cares Day, the nation’s largest single-day corporate volunteer effort. This year, more than 100 volunteers will participate in a Comcast Cares Day project at BBF Family Services. Volunteers will paint program areas, build picnic tables and planting beds for the urban garden apprenticeship, create mini lending libraries to improve literacy, and organize interior and exterior spaces to improve the quality of life in North Lawndale. The project will take place at 1512 South Pulaski Road in Chicago from 8am to 2pm. Members of the community, as well as BBF youth, alumni and staff will also participate.
