In early June, the Culturally Helping and Making Positive Success (C.H.A.M.P.S.) in partnership with the Noble Network of Charter Schools and the Gary Comer Youth Center, held their annual conference on the South Side designed to empower African-American and Latino males. Nearly five hundred young men from across Chicago participated in a day of connection and inspiration at Gary Comer Youth Center on Saturday, June 3rd. The “Born 2 Win” conference marked the next stage in C.H.A.M.P.S mission to bring the 3 “E’s” –education, empowerment, and exposure –to young men of color across Chicago. The event included speakers, panel discussions, and more.
