Lakeside Bank is hosting its first ever Education Awards, the Women 1st, “Now We’re Cooking!” Kendall College Student Chef Competition. Seven female Kendall Culinary students will whip up their most delectable entrée’s for attendees, competing to win $10,000 in scholarships. The event will be held on October 25th from 5:30p.m., to 8:30p.m., at the nationally acclaimed Kendall Culinary School, 900 North Branch Street, Chicago, IL. James Beard award winner Chef Carrie Nahabedian of the Michelin starred restaurant NAHA and Brindille, and 2-time James Beard award winning Chef Sarah Stegner of Prairie Grass Café, will be guest judges and speakers. They will choose the Grand Prize winner and award Best Presentation. All attendees will taste and vote for a “People’s Choice” winner. “In every field, education is the first ingredient for success; we’re proud to work with our sponsors to assist young women studying and working hard to launch their careers” said Lakeside Bank’s President and Vice Chairman David Pinkerton.
