The 31st Annual Santa Run sponsored by Calumet City Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge # 1, which will make the holidays brighter for many area children and their families, will be held the morning of Saturday, Dec. 16th in Calumet City. FOP Lodge # 1 members, Santa and his elves will begin gathering December 16 at 9 a.m. at the Calumet City Training Center at 24 State Street, the northwest corner of State Street and State Line Road. Santa will depart at 10 a.m. in his sleigh pulled by a marked Calumet City police unit and will visit approximately 15 Calumet City families. Santa will distribute children’s gifts and food baskets made possible by FOP Lodge # 1 fundraising efforts throughout the year and generous community donations.
