U.S. Rep. Danny K. Davis joined Peoples Gas and CEDA (Community Economic Development Association) to host the 13th annual Winter Resource Fair at Mark T. Skinner Elementary School, 1260 W. Adams St., on the city’s west side. Eligible residents worked with CEDA to apply for LIHEAP and the Peoples Gas Share the Warmth program. Customers also learned about Peoples Gas’ energy efficiency programs and rebates for high-efficiency products, and signed up for Home Energy Jumpstart, which provides free energy-saving products such as programmable thermostats, showerheads, faucet aerators, pipe insulation, compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) and smart power strips. Hundreds of Chicago residents benefited from personalized, face-to-face interaction with nearly 15 local vendors that provided information on energy and financial assistance, including Peoples Gas, CEDA and ComEd. A number of city, state and human services agencies also were present to assist customers with other resources. Peoples Gas customers who were unable to attend the Winter Resource Fair can visit peoplesgasdelivery.com or cedaorg.net or call CEDA’s hotline at 800-571-2332.
