NLEI recently announced the launch of the NLEI ENERGIA Project. ENERGIA means energy in Spanish, a new project made possible through the Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA). ENERGIA aims to build the skills and talent needed to support the innovative energy sector. The ENERGIA project is a short 5-month program which includes classroom instruction with employers and energy experts, student support, safety and OSHA education. Additionally, the program provides field experience in the technical, business and customer engagement paths. Job placement is available upon successful completion of project. The program gives participants the opportunity to gain academic, technical and lifetime career skills. The clean energy sector is quickly transforming the job market, offering a wide variety of job opportunities for those willing to invest in their future. NLEI’s ENERGIA project provides solid foundational industry knowledge and technical skills for successful entry into energy occupations and fields. Prospective project participants must have a high school diploma or GED and be 18 years of age or older, and must pass drug screen and background check.
