Mole de Mayo Fest Returns to Pilsen

Eighteenth Street Development Corporation (ESDC) presents its ninth annual Mole de Mayo Festival, the only outdoor mole cook‐off event celebrating Latino culture and Mexican cuisine. The festival is set to take place on 18th St. and Ashland Ave. from May 25-27, 2018 in the rich and diverse neighborhood of Pilsen on the southwest side of Chicago. This family-friendly festival draws people from all across the city and visiting Memorial Day tourists to sample a variety of regional or specialty mole dishes from some of Pilsen’s popular eateries and surrounding neighborhoods. Mole de Mayo will also host the After Party with Sonido Gallo Negro, Kiko Villamizar, Gio Chamba and Pachanga DJ’s presented by Ajúa and Pachanka Music Culture on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Thalia Hall, 1807 S.
