Chicago-Bogota and Chicago-Guatemala: New Avianca Airlines Routes

In order to offer Chicago travelers more and improved connectivity options, while taking advantage of Avianca´s Airlines global route network, the airline will launch two new direct flights between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Guatemala City in Central America and its hub in Bogota, Colombia, starting on October 29th and November 17th, respectively. One daily flight will be offered to Guatemala City, operated on an Airbus A320 aircraft with capacity of 150 passengers, 12 in Business Class and 138 in Economy Class. The Chicago-Bogota route will be offered four times a week -Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday-, on an Airbus A319 aircraft with capacity of 120 passengers, 12 in Business Class and 108 in Economy Class. This new flight will provide Chicago passengers with an effective connection through the flight bank departing from Bogotá to different cities in South America, such as: Quito and Guayaquil (Ecuador), Lima (Peru), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Santiago de Chile.  It also increases the possibilities to arrive to destinations within Colombia, such as Cali, Medellin, Barranquilla, Pereira and Cartagena, among other cities.
