Google Opens First Chicago-Based Hardware Pop-Up Shop

Beginning this week, Chicagoans can experience and buy Google’s newest hardware products in the company’s first-ever Chicago-based hardware pop-up shop. Located at 1704 N. Damen Ave, the Google Chicago Hardware Store pop-up invites customers to interact with Made by Google products in a space inspired by the design of the classic hardware store, but with a modern twist. Google’s Hardware Store pop-up is twist on the classic hardware store that evokes the playful design of Google’s new products. The pop-up has other fun, social media-friendly features for Chicagoans to experience, including a cozy treehouse, a tiny kitchen, and record store. Chicagoans can expect more surprises from the store as the holiday season begins. All Made by Google products and Nest products, will be sold at the pop-up shop including the Pixel 3, Google Home Hub, Google Home Mini, Google Home Max, Pixel Slate and Pixel Stand. Accessories for the phones and Nest devices will be sold in addition to the products. The Google Hardware Store pop-up will be open 7 days a week from 11 AM – 8 PM Monday through Saturday and from 11 AM – 6 PM on Sunday. The pop-up will run through December 31, 2018 and is located at 1704 N. Damen Ave.
