Preckwinkle Cuts Ribbon on New Professional Building at Stroger Hospital

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - HealthCook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle and Cook County Health (CCH) CEO Dr. Jay Shannon join elected officials and community leaders cut the ribbon on the newly constructed CCH Professional Building located at 1950 W. Polk St., on Sunday, Oct. 28th The state-of-the-art outpatient facility is a 9-story 282,000 square foot building with clinical services including dental, ophthalmology, oncology, infusion, dermatology, diabetes, endocrinology, and adult medicine. The new Professional Building includes a training and education center and administrative space. It replaces outdated facilities on the system’s central campus including the now-demolished Fantus Clinic, which opened in 1959, and two other buildings.
