City Colleges of Chicago offers a quality, affordable education that puts students on a pathway to bachelor’s degree programs and in-demand careers. Chicagoans can take classes for college credit at any of the seven City Colleges of Chicago or its five satellite sites to earn basic and advanced certificates or an associate degree. Each college offers a wide array of general education classes, specializes in a focused, in-demand field, and provides the resources that students need to be successful as they prepare to transfer to a four-year university, find an internship, or start a career. Many locations also offer non-credit classes: free English as a Second Language classes, free high school equivalency (GED or HiSET) preparation classes, and continuing education classes.
