Hilario Dominguez, progressive candidate for 25th Ward Alderman, is reiterating his call on Alderman Danny Solis to resign in response to the latest report from the Chicago Sun-Times, outlining Solis’ abuses of power in order to secure sex acts, campaign contributions, and more. “Today we learned that Solis abused his position of power to trade official action for Viagra, sex acts and campaign contributions,” said Hilario Dominguez. “It’s bad enough to have an alderman that is hiding from his constituents and missing crucial votes in City Council. Residents of the 25th Ward deserve an alderman that is entirely focused on representing their needs, not cutting backroom deals to secure sex acts and campaign contributions. This report is yet another reminder of what we knew when I announced my candidacy for alderman more than seven months ago: Ald. Solis must go.” Last Wednesday, Hilario Dominguez held a press conference at City Hall calling on Ald. Solis to resign after it was discovered that he was involved in the FBI investigation against Ed Burke. At the time, Hilario said, “The truth is no sitting alderman voluntarily wears a federal wiretap.”
