Youth Guidance organized its fifth annual Becoming a Man (BAM) Spring Break College Enrichment and Cultural Experience tour. Youth Guidance staff escorted more than 100 young men (grades 7th-12th) from the north, south, far south, southwest, east and west sides of Chicago. Nearly 25 BAM staff and volunteers traveled on three charter buses for seven days and six nights touring to Atlanta, Mississippi, New Orleans, Arkansas and more -visiting colleges, universities and cultural landmarks; while participating in BAM Brotherhood bonding activities along the way. The seven day and six-night event kicked-off from Fenger Academy High School. While on tour, the BAM students are scheduled to visit colleges and universities that include Morehouse College, Clark Atlanta University, Mississippi Valley State University, Jackson State University, Tulane College, Dillard University, Xavier University of New Orleans, Southern University at New Orleans, University of Central Arkansas, Philander Smith College, and Howard University.
