Exercise and art are just a few unexpected ways that guests can engage with animals at Shedd Aquarium when they participate in a suite of new Youth, Families and Adult (YFA) spring learning programs. The aquarium is also rolling out, for the first time, day camps for CPS non-attendance days, as well as a week-long summer camp centered around exploring the aquatic world. The new set of learning programs promise guests an opportunity to connect with nature, meet unbelievable animals up close, explore habitats and exhibits from around the globe and participate in hands-on science activities. “We want people to know there is something for everyone here at Shedd,” said Samantha Norton, senior director of learning programs at Shedd Aquarium. “Whether you’re stretching and finding zen while surrounded by schooling fish or sketching and painting beautiful coral reefs with your family, we’re encouraging skill-building activities and truly immersive, unique experiences that bring guests close to nature in a completely different way than they would by just visiting the aquarium on a normal day.” For the full list of programs, visit www.sheddaquarium.org.
