Last week, SOS Children’s Villages Illinois, a 501(c)3 child-welfare agency that serves at-risk youth and children in foster care, gathered at Cinespace Chicago Film Studios in North Lawndale with actors Christian Bale, David Eigenberg, and many more in support of children in foster care. The studio visit, and SOS Illinois family meet-and-greet marked the launch of SOS Illinois #Voices4FosterCare Campaign to promote Foster Care Awareness Month this May. After visiting Cinespace Chicago Film Studios, celebrity guests and SOS Illinois leadership assembled on the Pritzker Stage in Millennium Park for Dining & Conversation, SOS Illinois’ spring gala sponsored by Sodexo. The event benefited the children and families served by SOS Illinois at its four sites located in the Chicagoland area. During Foster Care Awareness month, and throughout the year, SOS Children’s Villages Illinois encourages all individuals and organizations to play a role in making Illinois a better place for children in foster care.
