Chicago Bar Association Teaming with CPL to Offer Legal Information

Chicago-area residents in need of free or affordable legal services are invited to attend an informational seminar being offered October 2 by the Chicago Bar Association in partnership with the Chicago Public Library. The seminar, “How to Find a Lawyer If You Cannot Afford One,” will be held Oct. 2 at 12:15 p.m. at the Harold Washington Library in downtown Chicago. The session will offer advice and guidance for residents to help them find affordable or pro bono legal services in many areas of civil law including landlord-tenant issues, foreclosure, divorce, child support, expungement, debt, employment and more.  An attorney from Chicago Volunteer Legal Services will conduct the presentation. The seminar will run from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the Chicago Authors Room on the 7th Floor of the Harold Washington Library, 400 S.
