Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Education

City Colleges of Chicago and its community partners highlighted Partnership Matters at Kennedy-King College Auditorium Tuesday morning. Partnership Matters, a first of its kind event, focused on opportunities to further engage with City Colleges and help to put students on the path to upward mobility. City Colleges of Chicago and its community partners highlighted their programs, the resources they provided to students both in and out of the classroom, and the way these partners helped City Colleges create access to education across the city. City Colleges partners with community organizations to provide a wide range of services and supports to students and their families. These partners talked about the resources that they helped to provide students. Discussions focused on collaborations that ultimately created unique educational and career opportunities for communities across Chicago. Attendees included City Colleges of Chicago Chancellor Juan Salgado; City Colleges leadership, students; Roadtrip Nation; representatives from Erie Neighborhood House, Center for Changing Lives, Resurrection Project, RAGE, Year up, Leaders Up, Women Employed, Greater Chicago Food Depository and One Million Degrees
