Local utility companies and community organizations believe natural gas and electric services should be safe, reliable and affordable. That is why ComEd and Nicor Gas are teaming up with CEDA and Lyons Township to provide area residents an opportunity to apply for financial assistance and receive tips and products to help them manage their energy use and lower their utility bills. Representatives from ComEd’s and Nicor Gas’ energy efficiency programs will be available to answer questions and provide participants with free energy-saving kits and representatives from CEDA (Community and Economic Development Association of Cook County, Inc.) will help enroll residents in financial assistance programs. The Community Resource Fair will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14th from 9a.m. to 1p.m., at Summit Park District, 5700 S. Archer Rd., Summit, IL. The event is open to all area residents.
