Chicago Cultural Alliance Welcomes New Executive Director

The Chicago Cultural Alliance, a non-profit organization that promotes, supports, and connects museums and centers of cultural heritage, announced that Peter Vega will serve as new Executive Director as the organization’s next leader. Vega joined the Chicago Cultural Alliance in August 2018 as Manager of Collaborative Programs. In January 2020, he was promoted to Director of Programs and Audience Development and was named Acting Director. Before joining the Alliance, Vega worked in various roles within the museum industry, including at Museum Hack, The Guggenheim Museum, the Intrepid Museum, and the Jewish Museum. His experience includes visitor services, marketing, and education. Vega holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Education from Manhattanville College and a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from New York University.
