Berwyn Public Health District is taking the fight right to the COVID-19 virus. The District, in cooperation with the City of Berwyn, the Illinois Department of Public Health, and Cook County Public Health Department will be setting up a Mobile Testing Unit in the south lot of the Berwyn Public Library on Friday, September 26 – Saturday, September 27 – and Sunday, September 28, 2020 from 9a.m. until 5p.m. each day. The Mobile Unit will have the capacity to assist 500 people each day. Berwyn residents, and residents from neighboring municipalities, need only to drive or walk up to receive a free test. Simple nasal swabs will be used. Results will be available within 4 to 7 days. All are welcome to be tested. Bring your insurance card if you do have insurance to help defray some of the costs. However, do not let the lack of insurance keep you from coming for a test. Berwyn Township members will be providing re-usable masks to Berwyn residents at the testing site while supplies last. The Berwyn Public Library is located at 2701 South Harlem Avenue, Berwyn, IL (Test Site in South Lot)
