Bimbo Bakeries USA, Cicero Community Organizations Host Food Pantry and Free COVID-19 Testing

On Thursday, October 22, Bimbo Bakeries USA, in partnership with United Way of Metro Chicago and the Town of Cicero, hosted a food pantry and free COVID-19 testing site at Unity Jr. High School. Organized by a cohort of local community organizations, the effort provided relief to one of Chicago’s most financially and physically impacted areas as a result of the current global health crisis. Prism Health was also on-site conducting free walk-up and drive-thru COVID-19 testing, while adhering to government-mandated social distancing guidelines. The partnerships include, Bimbo Bakeries USA, United Way of Metro Chicago, The Town of Cicero, Cicero District 99, Cicero Community Collaborative, Prism Health Lab, Family Focus, Chicago Federation of Labor, The Town of Cicero Safety Patrol, and the Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union.
