Salvation Army Offering Day Camp to Local Families

The Salvation Army Chicago Midway Corps Community Center is opening registration for a new, low-cost, faith-based day camp option for local children. The Salvation Army JUMP camp will offer children the chance to engage in a well-rounded curriculum with their peers, while offering parents a respite and low-cost childcare option. The JUMP camp will include:

• Jesus-centered curriculum

• Understanding the world through STEM activities

• Music integration

• Physical activity

Two 4-week sessions will be offered at The Salvation Army Midway Corps, located at 5036-52 W. 47th Street. The first session will run from June 28 – July 22. The second session will be offered from July 26 –August 20. Camp will run from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The Salvation Army JUMP camp is open to students in grades one through six. Each session will have 100 slots available, but cohorts within the camp will be limited to 10 children each. All public health guidelines will be followed. Registration for JUMP camp opens on April 19. Parents can sign up by calling Lt. Dalvius King-Harvy at The Salvation Army Chicago Midway Corps at 773.838.8005. The cost is $20 per week per child.
