It’s the premier weekend for the new art installation, Hope is a Light: Select Works from the Chicago Public School Class of 2021, now showing nightly on the south-facing façade of the Merchandise Mart as part of Art on theMART’s summer programming. Pull up, gaze on.

Reopening of Logan Theatre

Logan Theatre
At long last, Logan Square’s historic movie theatre reopens this weekend with a quartet of films including Godzilla vs. Kong, Army of the Dead, Raya and the Last Dragon, and Demon Slayer: Mugen Train. And to sweeten the deal, each ticket gets you a free small popcorn.
Cost: Tickets run $10 per person  

Fireworks at Navy Pier
