The Good Shepherd Catholic School building at 2725 S. Kolin Ave. in Little Village will be reopened for the 2021-22 school year to house an expansion of neighboring Epiphany Catholic School’s preschool and kindergarten programs. The intent is to grow Good Shepherd into a full, Preschool- 8th grade school building again in the future. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place early June. Members of the Good Shepherd, Epiphany and greater Little Village communities are expected to be in attendance. “Throughout the years, it has become abundantly clear through community discussions, enrollment trends, census data, parish data and the great faith of our community that there is an urgent need for an expansion of Catholic education on the West Side of Chicago’s vibrant Little Village neighborhood,” said Scott Ernst, principal of Epiphany. Epiphany, located at4223 W. 25th St., is a Big Shoulders Fund Plus School. Good Shepherd has begun enrolling preschool (ages 3 and 4) and kindergarten for the 2021-22 school year. Families interested in their children’s attending the school should contact Epiphany at 773-762-1542.
