Peoples Gas Calling on ‘Ambassadog’ for Doggone It! Campaign

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Local News

Peoples Gas is asking Chicagoans to decide which local dog will serve as their new safe digging “ambassadog.” As part of the Doggone it! campaign, the company asked its customers to send photos of their dogs digging. Now they’ve narrowed the competition down to five finalists, and the public gets to vote to choose the winner. People can vote by going to this link: https://bit.ly/3BsguIm. Voting runs through July 28. Peoples Gas will announce the winner on Tuesday, August 11. That’s 811 Day, a day when utility companies remind people to always dial 811 before starting any digging project. An expert will come to your home for free to mark where utility lines are on your property, so no one hurts themselves or accidentally damages any utility line. 811 is one phone call that can protect lives, and save time and money. It’s also the law.
