Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García (IL-04) is looking for talented high school students to participate in the 2022 Congressional Art Competition. Each spring, members of the U.S. House of Representatives receive artistic submissions from their districts as part of the annual art competition. The competition is open to all high school students from the 4th Congressional District. The winning piece of art will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol, alongside winning art pieces from students from all across the United States. The deadline to submit entries is Friday, April 29, 2022. The artwork must be an original piece and can be a drawing, painting, collage, print, form of mixed media, photography, or computer generated. Students interested in participating can learn more about the competition and submission process at chuygarcia.house.gov/services/art-competition.
