Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Education

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) on Friday will kick off its annual Back-to-School Bashes at 10 locations across the city for students and families to connect with their school communities and prepare for the new school year that begins Monday, August 22. These annual events will feature music, food, games, and activities for families.  These celebrations will also provide an opportunity for CPS students and families to meet with their schools, receive school supplies, and take advantage of access to free COVID-19 vaccines and health-related information. CPS staff and volunteers will be available to help answer questions regarding the upcoming school year. For more information on the events and details on resources to help families prepare for a successful year, families can visit the Back-to-School website at www.cps.edu/b2s.
