Nearly 100 Chicago area youth will take part in Mikva Challenge’s Project Soapbox event on December 3rd at Jones College Prep. Now in its 15th year, the nationwide program a platform for students across the country to speak out about the issues that are important to them. During this event, students will have the opportunity to share their call-to-action speeches in front of an audience of their peers and community leaders, who will help them consider how they can make their ideas a reality. Select students from each citywide Soapbox event, including Chicago’s, will be invited to participate in a national Soapbox event in the spring of 2023. Mikva Challenge is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization founded on the premise that youth voice and participation matter.
