Red Cross Volunteers Assist 87 People Affected by Home Fires in Past Week

American Red Cross volunteers in the Greater Chicago chapter responded to 20 home fires in Chicago, Coal City, Country Club Hills, Joliet, Harvey, Park Forest, Des Plaines, North Chicago, and Oak Forest in the past week and provided assistance to 87 individuals, including 34 children, through supplying them with basic items to meet immediate needs after a fire, and additional support in the form of health and mental health services and one-on-one support.
